Vakbrug was founded by an HSE/ESHS professional based in Paramaribo with years of hands-on experience verifying safety and compliance on major infrastructure and industrial projects in Suriname. That work meant personally vouching for people's skills and reliability, one case at a time. Vakbrug draws on that judgment for selective spot-checks. Profiles remain self-reported and pathway results provisional unless a specific claim is reviewed.
Vakbrug is not a staffing or employment agency. It does not hire tradespeople onto its own payroll and place or lease them out to companies, and it is never the employer of record for anyone who uses the platform. It provides self-reported profiles and provisional pathway guidance; selected claims may be spot-checked, but it does not independently verify every credential or arrange employment.
Welders, crane and heavy-equipment operators, HSE officers, lab technicians, electricians, and related trades — plus the oil & gas, mining, and construction employers seeking skilled workers and clear information about the review status of their profile claims.
The same pool serves training institutions, who gain motivated students who can use provisional pathway guidance to explore training options. Public support panels may share non-financial, self-reported information; they are non-binding and do not create active funding or sponsorship arrangements.
Applicant welfare is treated with the same seriousness given to family. Every user's information is protected as a standing rule, not a one-time promise — consent is explicit and opt-in, documents are never held as leverage, and trust is never for sale: claim-review labels, search ranking, and flag resolution are never influenced by payment or sponsorship.
Vakbrug will never accept funding tied to money laundering, bribery, tax fraud, or any conflict of interest. Every sponsor and every source of revenue is held to that same standard. Integrity is kept high and is not for sale — Vakbrug does not currently accept payments for visibility or access. Future funding will not influence how claims are labeled or reviewed.
